Attention all make-up artists! What’s the first thing we learned in school? Sanitation. And you how important it is. I mean seriously we spent so much time on that, I thought I’d never get to the application part of the curriculum. My kit is full of disposables and the one thing I struggled with in the beginning was picking a place to get all of my supplies.
I was sent a generous sample package from Qosmedix to review*.
FTC Disclaimer: I received these products for free from Qosmedix for review purposes but the views and opinions are that of my own.
It would be nearly impossible to review every single item. Therefore I will highlight the items that I loved (Chic!) and hated (Not Chic).
First up is
Qosmedix 30329 Eye Shadow / Glitter Brush
This unique brush has a silicon tip and black wooden handle. The benefits of the silicon tip allows glitter and pigment to go on the lid and other creative places without unwanted glitter/pigment that tends to fall onto the skin during application.
Price Point: $1.50 per brush
Bottom Line: Chic! This brush is a must have for glitter and pigment placement
QOSMEDIX 10222 Point Cotton Swab
The pointed swab is a staple for your kit. Dip a little in makeup remover to make precision corrections.
Price Point: $31 for Per thousand
Bottom Line: Chic! Bulk purchase is a steal
Qosmedix 30330 Angled Brow Brush
Made with Boar and Badger
Price Point: $1.25 Per Brush
Bottom Line: Not Chic! Although the price point is excellent for a brush made with boar and badger, the bristles were too hard for my liking. It felt like I was brushing my eyebrows with a hair brush.
Qosmedix 513522 Amplifying False Eyelashes Black
Made with synthetic hair these false lashes give off a chic look for the not so everyday look.
Price Point: $32 for 20 pairs
Bottom Line: Chic! These false lashes can used for photo shoots and runway looks as it is bold and full. Apply with a light adhesive for a temporary full lash look.
Qosmedix 20212 Oblong Blending Sponge
Latex Free Polyurethane Foam.
Price Point: $1.95 each
Bottom Line: VERY CHIC! If you are a MUA get these. If you are not a MUA get these. These sponges are perfect for blending liquid foundation, applying cleanser and so much more. And they are pink! Use them wet or use them dry. The price point is definitely chic.
Qosmedix 30331 Mineral Powder Brush
Made with Goat Hair, Wood and Aluminum
Price Point: $2.65 Each
Bottom Line: Chic! When I first unwrapped this brush it did have a bit of a smell. However I washed it with brush cleaner and it the smell went away. The bristles are extra soft making application of any powder (especially mineral powders) flawless.
Qosmedix 96585 Dual Textured Oval Cotton Pad
Price Point: $2.99 for 50
Bottom Line: Not Chic! These large pads weren’t textured and pulled apart very easily. These pads were a bit too delicate for makeup removal without falling apart very quickly. I prefer the smaller textured exfoliating pad (Qosmedix 96584) for $2.15 per 50.
Qosmedix boasts a 365 page catalog filled with every cosmetic item you will ever need. It’s a US (New York) based company that has excellent customer service and order fulfillment staff. The items are top quality and the price point is super chic.
