Runway Fusion 2012, produced by Models INC, shut down the DMV in the name of breast cancer awareness via fashion. Models INC. is a community based modeling company that specializes in mainstream runway and entertainment model performance. Models INC. was formed with three things in mind: to build self-esteem, enrich young adults, and to create a safe haven for youth and young adults by allowing them to express themselves artistically.
In support of breast cancer awareness, Models INC has partnered with the African Women’s Cancer Awareness Association to donate part of the proceeds and custom wigs to breast cancer survivors within the organization. Wig Capitol of Capital Heights, Maryland was on of the leading sponsors for this year’s event.
The Cultural Arts center in Silver Spring MD quickly filled with CHIC people waiting to see the 5th anniversary show. The buzz was in the air about Camilla Poindexter of Hit TV Series Bad Girls Club Season 8 to walk the runway as the guest celebrity model.
Backstage clothes ready to be worn on the runway hung on racks and the models prepared anxiously to stomp the runway. But there’s never a dull moment with a Models INC model. They are always prepared to vogue for the camera….
Pink wigs and pink stilettos adorned each model. Afua Sam, founder and creative designer of Studio D’Maxsi, opened the show. Celebrated as an innovative, sophisticated and edgy women’s wear line for the modern woman, STUDIO D’MAXSI unique designs are for the sexy, classy, funky, chic and confident woman. Love her collection!
Models INC produced a show like no other. There were dozens of models and a plethora of designers including NYC’s Fabric Twinz. Camilla definitly represented the Fabric Twinz brand in this dress:
Mz Mahogany Chic gives Models INC a very CHIC thumbs up for producing such an elaborate show to raise breast cancer awareness.
