Maryland Fashion Week 2012 has a very unique style different from any fashion week in the world by setting the stage for not only the petite models but for our kids and full figure models alike. Maryland Fashion Week is the only Fashion Show in the world where kids and full figure models are included on the same runway as the petite models. Malcolm Alexander Barrett, also known as M. Alexander, is a D.C. native fashion designer. He has worked with Designers such as, Rachael Roy and Chris Benson. Furthermore he has had the privilege to work with style mentors Andre Leon Tally and J. Alexander (also known as Ms. J from Americas Next Top Model). In 2010, Malcolm created the brand M. Alexander and it soon came to life. Malcolm started this high end women’s wear line with one goal in mind, to make women feel confident yet sexy at the same time. Evgenia Luzhina-Salazar was born in Moscow. She received a B.A. in Fine Art and Design from Moscow Art College in 1980. Evgenia has been a costume designer for the last 30 years. Jacinta’s fashion education began very early in life. Her mother, a seamstress would be her first instructor, teaching her to be the best at sewing, Jacinta never realized fashion would become the center of her life, she only thought she was learning a survival skill. Jacinta soon learned she was not only a natural at sewing, but a phenomenon at creating new shapes and designs, She would later in life (2006, Art Institute of Fort Lauderdale) graduated #1 in her class and received the highest achievement award, receiving a degree in fashion. Born in Barrancabermeja, Santander, Colombia, Mayerly Rodriguez grew up in the city of Bucaramanga, Colombia. She began her training at 12 years old as a seamstress, and at the age of 16 began working officially at an atelier making baby clothing in Bucaramanga.
