When it comes to makeup looks, I don’t like to wear a lot of makeup during the day. I look for simple and easy looks that don’t require a lot of products. Looking at all of the new makeup trends for Spring 2013, I found five trends that I feel are appropriate for everyday wear.
Glowing Youthful Skin
Oscar de la Renta’s Spring 2013 collection exploded with youthful and glowing skin. To achieve this romantic and soft look, mix an oil based moisturizer with your foundation or tinted moisturizer. To get a light flush of color on your cheeks, try a thin layer of cream blush on the apples of your cheeks.
Shimmery Smokey Eye
Marc by Marc Jacobs sporty daywear looks were taken to a whole new level by being accompanied with a sexy shimmer, smokey eye. When going for this kind of look be sure to keep the rest of your face bare to keep the look from looking too overdone.
Lush for Lashes
Full, flirty, and dreamy, thick lashes were seen everywhere on the runway. For Valentine’s day try minimal makeup, full lashes, and a red lip for a chic and simple look.
Sultry. Sexy. Classic. The red lip is back in action and can be worn with any look, from day to night. Looking for a red lipstick, but not sure which color will look compliment your skin tone? Try MACs Ruby Woo, a blue based lipstick made for every skin tone.
For Spring 2013 the eyeliner looks are not for day wear, but more for night wear. Don’t be afraid to turn up your cat eye with thick lines applied to your eyelid. I find that Hip Chrome Liner or Gel Liners work best when trying to achieve a look like this.
