A beauty tool that makes our eyes pop is mascara, so it’s no wonder we have so many options available to us. When we do find mascara that we like, we tend to keep it for a while, using it over and over until there isn’t even a single drop left. Although it’s great to use a product that we love, make sure you switch it out every few months.
When you put on mascara you are also collecting bacteria, lint and whatever else is floating around in the air that is stuck on your eyelashes. Your eyelashes prevent these things from getting into your eyes. With spring around the corner that means that pollen will be sure to follow, and it’s just another thing that will be getting near your eyes.
Use this time to switch out or get more of your favorite mascara. Or, if you would like to stick with what you have and it’s not time to get a new one, clean the brush every so often to keep it clean. Especially for those times you accidentally poke your eyeball trying to get your eyelashes to curl. Been there, done that, ouch!
If you need a few suggestions to find your favorite mascara, or you want to try something new, here are a few of the best rated eyelashes right now. Some of them you have probably seen before, if you haven’t already tried them, and others you will be very glad you’re hearing about!
Definitely a favorite in the beauty industry, and very reasonably priced is the Maybelline Great Lash Lots of Lashes Mascara. I would be lying if I said this isn’t in my beauty bag and that I don’t purchase a new one at least once a year. You can find this mascara at any drug store that carries Maybelline, which let’s face it, it’s all of them!
Another mascara that has been getting rave reviews for quite a while now is the Dior Diorshow Mascara. You get the glam look at home without always having an artist doing your makeup. This mascara is available at department stores such as Nordstrom, and beauty stores like Sephora.
Another department store buy that is worth the try is Lancome Hypose Mascara. After one coat you will be able to tell difference and see longer, thicker lashes.
Last but not least, for now, is MAC False Lashes Mascara. Need I say anymore? Well here it is just in case! If you are looking for mascara that will be great for a night out and you want to give your lashes a bit more of the royal treatment, this is it! You can find this mascara at any MAC store or even department stores!
In addition to the mascara that you purchase, the way you put on your mascara has a lot to do with what you get out of it. Putting on a few coats of it definitely makes it thicker and longer because there is more coating on your lashes. Looking down while you are putting it on gives your lashes more of a lift and curl. Sweeping your lashes from side to side separates them giving you the look of more lashes.
What’s your favorite mascara? Did any of them make this list?
