You know it’s officially spring in D.C. when the Cherry Blossoms have finally bloomed! Although it took a bit longer this year the nations capital is filled with white and rose colored petals and some other colors in between. D.C. looks even more beautiful when the Cherry Blossoms are fully bloomed and the soft breeze in the air that blows the petals to the ground makes it feel even more serene.
This area of the city is always busy this time of year, regardless of the time of day. Tour buses parked everywhere, people walking around, and countless pictures being taken becomes normal routine during these few weeks. More normal than what the city usually sees year round.
For this edition “What to Wear, Where” I really wanted to put on a floral dress that screamed out “SPRING!” What better dress to wear than a Prabal Gurung for Target dress? I chose the Dropped Waist Dress in First Date print. It definitely put me in the spring spirit and made my quick trip to the city even that more fun!
Accidentally, most of my outfit ended up being from Target. My flats and my cross-body bag were also from there! I wanted to keep the accessories neutral, except for my earrings, which were gold with different jewel tones that somewhat matched my dress. The earrings I purchased a few years back from Accessorize and my watch is also from a few years ago from the Swatch store. I love that at the Swatch store you can find watches in so many different colors that you are bound to find the right hue for you!
Another great thing about going to see the Cherry Blossoms was seeing all the people that were there who looked very fabulous in their pastels. brights, and florals. Spring is definitely here!
Did you get a chance to see the Cherry Blossoms this year? What do you like to wear to D.C. during the spring?
