Coachella 2013 is in full swing, and with one week down and the last under swing, there are a few essential fashion details you need to know to complete your Coachella look!
Dubbed this generation’s Woodstock, lounging around outside in warm weather is like stepping into the past. 60′s and 70′s style trends are out in full force in the Indio desert. Yet with all the options to chose from, there are a few select trends sported on celebrities and fans alike: cut-off denim shorts, floppy hats, eyelet and crochet, flower crowns, and bralettes.
The Floppy Hat
This trend is a must when spending the day under the hot sun. Not only is it fashionable on many different face shapes and hair styles, it protects your face and hair from damaging UV-rays.
Also known as a (shorter) crop top the bralette brings a little peek-a-boo sexiness into your outfit. As Katty Perry and Sophia Bush show, the look can be worn different ways, with a skirt or pants, fitted more like a bra or longer like a crop top.
The Eyelet / Crochet
Similar to the lace trend, eyelet and crochet brings an instant vintage look to your ensemble. However, paired with a modern silhouette, the look is new and fresh.
The Flower Crown
No need for a description here, this look is young, fun, and hippy all the way!
The Denim Cut-Off
A good pair of shorts is a staple for any warm outdoor event. This year, shorts that look like you took a pair of scissors to your favorite jeans is the way to go. Whether printed or good ol’ jean, a little fraying on the bottom is the key.
Of course, there are some stars breaking all the rules- or maybe, making their own rules. Solange Knowles is a great example of taking the 60′s-70′s but keeping it chic and classic.
Remember, its more about how you wear it than what you wear. Just keep it CHIC!
