We all want that perfect beach body, with toned thighs, a slim waist and that healthy glow, but never know where to start! Have no fear; the Angels are coming! As the annual Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show approaches, over 2 million viewers will once again be engulfed in a night full of glamour, glitter and wings of all shapes and sizes. As the Angels prepare for this epic night, they have decided to share some of their supermodel secrets to their signature Victoria Secret runway physiques. With the combination of workouts with a personal trainer, healthy diets and good lighting, these Angels prep weeks in advance for their initial fitting. Supermodel Behati Prinsloo told Elle.com that “[we] mentally feel better after we know what [body parts] will be exposed. Every girl, after the fitting, is like, ‘OK, I can relax with the butt squats because it’s covered… It’s silly, but it happens. Girls have done squats backstage at the show, it really happens.” (www.express.co.uk).
But behind closed doors (and goofy instagram shots), we see British supermodel Cara Delevingne and Candice Swanepoel upload a candid shot of them scarfing down what seems to be a plate of steak and chips. A blissful grin stretches across their faces as they enjoy these guilty pleasures. Models work hard to keep their figures top model ready, but they also know when it’s time to splurge as they treat themselves to some carbohydrates and oil, which their diets would certainly call ‘forbidden fruits.’
Alessandra Ambrosio clearly takes her Victoria Secret physique seriously. With the combination of pilates, yoga, and cardio you can find her posting images of her workouts with Brazilian trainer Marcio Lui. Need to find a good workout regimen online? Find Candice Swanepoel’s exercise video for Victoria’s Secret as she teaches you how to tone up with a few easy drills and exercises that will have you well on your way to getting that beach-ready body just in time for summer. Need help when it comes to a healthy diet? Follow Dutch supermodel Doutzen Kroes as her main focus to staying healthy with an energy boosting green juice. Try a Green Monster or Kale Smoothie for a boost of energy or substitute for your usual sugary snack. It will keep you feeling full and reduce those snacking craves throughout the day. Along with a healthy diet and workout routine, also make sure that you get plenty of sleep and rest so your body can recover and make a healthy transition from your original diet. Most importantly, have a positive attitude and stay persistent! Rome wasn’t built in one day….
