There are many fashion trends in Spring 2014 menswear that caught several people’s attention. Usually, every year a majority of men’s collections are athletic or preppy. However, this year there seems to be a few interesting trends. These interesting spring 2014 menswear trends are floral prints, the man bag, and the double-breasted blazer.
The first trend of floral prints can be seen in the Dries Van Noten Spring 2014 menswear collection. With this collection Van Noten shows how wearing floral patterns can be masculine if mixed with darker shades and asymmetrically designed. Van Noten also made the floral prints seem handsome by deriving the prints from the eighteenth-century Late Baroque.
The man bag in 2014 seems like an essential item, and Bottega Veneta knows this. In their spring 2014 menswear collection, Bottega Veneta showed off many amazing man bags color coordinated to the clothing. The models also looked dapper as if transported out of a classic James Bond movie, walking confident with their man bags.
The last interesting trend in spring 2014 menswear was the double-breasted blazer. Blazers have come on recently due to music celebrities, but the double-breasted blazers have traditionally been linked with the bad ‘80s look. Nonetheless, for spring many fashion designers like Dior Homme chose to showcase the look. Dior Homme presented many colorful and uniquely arranged suites, but the best was his coffee-colored double-breasted blazer with short pants.
