Hong Kong Fashion Week is the largest Asian fashion event that will consist of over 1,500 exhibitors on January 13-16 2014 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre. This weekend is jam-packed with trends for the Fall/Winter 2014 season as this glamorous event displays the latest designs of the fashion industry with endless business opportunities to take advantage of during this fashion filled weekend. With over 40 years of experience, the 45th fall/winter Hong Kong Fashion Week expects around 1,500 exhibitors from over 15 countries. The World Boutique coincides with Hong Kong Fashion Week that with showcase over 560 world-renowned design trends from 18 countries and regions.
Numerous local and overseas industry associations, including the Federation of Hong Kong Footwear, Hong Kong Fashion Designers Association, Knitwear Innovation & Design Society, Redress and Japan Fashion Leather Designers, PromPeru Pavilion, The Spanish Textile & Clothing Association and Taiwan Textile Federation will stage catwalk shows or will form group pavilions during the fair for this extravaganza. January 13 will feature fashion collections from Amaya Arzuaga based in Madrid, Calla Haynes based in Paris, Henry Lau based in Hong Kong, and also Masha Ma presented by W Hotels Worldwide, who is based in Paris and Shanghai. January 14 will consist of the Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ Contest 2014, a nurturing ground for fashion talent, will present creative designs by 16 contestants and will announce the winning pieces.
To increase fashion awareness to the public, a month-long promotion tied to World Boutique, Hong Kong, called “Hong Kong in Fashion”, will launch in January 2014. This event will feature street-chic competitions, a series of fashion parades, displays and workshops in venues throughout Hong Kong for street fashionistas to show the world their sense of fashion and their desire to grow within the fashion industry.
