Rachel Zoe brings her signature 70′s flair with a very commercial feel in her new Pre-Fall 2014 Collection.
It’s no secret Rachel Zoe loves herself a wide leg trouser, slouchy top, and a certain bohemian chic that looks effortlessly modern. These silhouettes always make their way into her collections, and pre-fall is no different. This time, however, it seems like the designer put more focus on the retail sell-ability of her line than by solely creating a visual ode to her favorite era.
The collection’s color palette played it simple with a majority of blacks and whites, and the only other colors being browns, blues and pinks, all used sparingly. Being a pre-fall collection, there was a plethora of thigh-grazing dresses and skirts, a long maxi, tunic and sleeveless tops, as well as a jumpsuit here and there. The fall elements presented themselves in biker jackets, leather pants and leather-sleeved blazers, and long sleeved dresses. Whether summer or fall inspired, each item of clothing had a light feel, perfect for layering or braving the first breezes of fall.
