2014 is on the horizon and for all beauty mavens the turn of a new year sparks an interest in reflecting about what the year in beauty has served us and what we can expect to come. Every year comes a breakthrough product, or a few, that does things like it’s never been done. Whether it’s a small change in use or purpose, or a brand new look, or function. Just like anything made for consumers, there’s always a need in making things easier to use, faster, more effective and beauty is no exception.
This year Revlon launched their Scented Nail Enamel. These enamels all have different fresh, fruity scents that once they dry you can smell the scent right off your nails! How’s that for a multi-function product?
IOMA skincare launched their Youth Booster moisturizer with MEMS technology. A device that allows for you to measure your skins dryness using advanced technology. Now you can take the power of knowing your skins moisture level in your own hands.
Color Wow Root Cover Up really wowed us this year with it’s innovative product offering. A compact powder and brush in various shades to match your hair, so visits to the salon for touch up’s become less and less more frequent.
In the works is a tooth-hardening pill to prevent cavities. Marc Lowenberg, a cosmetic dentist in New York City, is developing a tooth gloss that brushes on and creates a protective barrier that prevents discoloration of teeth from food and drinks.
Face oils made a big splash this year in the pool of beauty products! Like Caudalie Paris’ Vinexpert that’s a firming serum you use on your face to help reduce fine lines.
