Walgreens Company debuts their first beauty magazine publication for its consumers. The beauty world is booming and companies are competing for the piece of the pie. Walgreens Company owns and operates brick and mortar Walgreens and Duane Reade stores; along with e-commerce sites drugstore.com, beauty.com and skinstore.com. The goal is for premium beauty brands to have a beauty section overhaul that consumers can be aware of and purchase items. According to Women’s Wear Daily, the company has added the Look Boutiques and the addition of upscale merchandise in the past. They have also decided the produce the magazine titled Discover Beauty Within to shape up to be an impressive beauty souvenir.
The magazine will be published every quarter, retailing for $1.99. It will include information on the latest trends and products including beauty tips and tricks. The magazine will also offer savings and deals in which the first issue has $20 worth of deals. Sofia Vergara will cover the first issue of the beauty magazine. The publication will make its Walgreens debut everywhere except in Puerto Rico at the end of March. On April 2nd ,we will see the launch of Suite on the Street designed to initiate and promote the glossy’s launch. According to PR News Wire, “The Suite is a Walgreens and Discover Beauty Within branded tour bus that will serve as a mobile beauty studio to demonstrate select products and techniques to customers and passers-by.” How many of our readers go to Walgreens to buy their favorite beauty products?
