Welcome to the second day of New York Fashion Week! We’ve anticipated and prepared for the Spring 2014 fashion shows premiere. The week of CHIC officially began yesterday at 10 a.m including the runway show from legendary fashion house BCBG Max Azria.
BCBG Max Azria ripped the runway for New York Fashion Week Thursday with neutrals, prints and crop tops. Known for their feminine, up-to-date designs, models graced the runway with midriffs and floral print – a top HIT for spring/summer 2013. BCBG is also known for their glam and luxurious clothing, gowns and accessories. Powder blue skirts and tops graced the runway; simplicity, it seems, is the look for spring 2014 with neutral colors and prints.
Some of the stronger looks included the white-cropped midriff worn with high-waisted pants. They also offered breezy tunics inspired by a man’s button-down relaxed shirt, chambray jackets and dresses, and floral prints that weren’t flower like as they were more like paint splatter to create edge.
“We want to see a woman more cool, more relaxed, and that’s sexy,” said Max Azaria backstage before the show. The line included baggy trousers and calm outfit wardrobes. The theme seemed to be loose, light and relaxed. The beauty looks that graced the runway included neutral, cool, everyday wear. BCBG Max Azria will celebrate 25 years of their brand in 2014 and the pieces in this collection will be in stores for the anniversary.
