With the success of Moddecor, owner and founder Nidhi Gupta has gone from dressing rooms to dressing people with the newly launched ModLife, a high-end jewelry and lifestyle line.
Nidhi Gupta started 12 years ago with her brick and mortar store in the DC area, Moddecor, where the focus was all on home decor. From martini glasses, to espresso cups, Gupta kept hearing the same thing; how can I purchase the items if I’m not in DC? Earlier this year, Gupta decided to shift gears, and jumped from retail to online, while expanding on her passion for jewelry. Launched November 13, ModeLife was born.
The line is focused on color, as Gupta states herself, “I believe in life being very colorful.” And this belief is evident in all the pieces on the site. “Even Washington DC is dressing up very differently, people are a lot more edgier, they wanna get a little funkier, they’re willing to play with color, that’s exactly what we’re about.” Filled with vibrancy and color, the items pop with simple sophistication.
“Each piece has been chosen to be able to be utilized by women all over the globe,” Gupta continues, “most of these pieces rock with a white tshirt and jeans, as well as a black dress.” With a touch of ethnic and global flair, the pieces are meant to be versatile.
Quality is also top priority for Gupta. Continuing her long-standing success from ModDecor and what her clientele has come to expect, Gupta has made sure the high-end jewelry pieces go through strict quality control. Manufactured by designers and brands in India, and in the USA, a huge percentage of the jewelry is 92.5% silver, with gold plating, using semi-precious stones. The prices range from anywhere to $75 to up to $400, and Gupta likens the line to the Kate Spades of the world, with new lines and designs evolving and coming out in the next few months.
There’s no doubt that there is something for every woman in the line, and for every occasion. We’re excited to see the CHIC line expand and bring exuberant global flair to the masses!
