Runway fashion, with all its pomp and circumstance, isn’t the exclusive form of inspiration for the modern fashionista that it once was. In today’s world, inspiration is a close as just stepping outside your door. Street wear is the runway platform for the fashion obsessed, where you can strut in your unique stylized creations, and at the same time be inspired by others! To help make your look pop and stand out, Romwe is your online stop to peruse the latest street style- inspired fashions and accessories.
Established in 2009, Romwe was created by April Xie, and has gone from a simple vintage specialty shop into a platform for high-street fashion. The site includes one of a kind looks, not found at your local retail store. With a plethora of apparel, accessories, and jewelry options, there’s sure to be an item to fall in love with. From simple sillouhettes accessorized with studs, leather, lace, even sequins, to far out designs like their galaxy-themed leggings, the looks are fun, interesting, and definitely different.
Being a fan of studs myself, I had the pleasure of trying the gold-toned riveted mint jumper. Available in a “one size fits all” style, the jumper (or sweater) is a gorgeous vibrant mint color, reminiscent of a delicious scoop of mint chocolate-chip ice cream. The studs, apart from looking dangerous, are lightweight and safe and glide down the shoulders off from the boatneck collar.
The ribbing on the bottom of the sweater allows for two different ways to rock the look; bunched up at your waist to give you a slouchy chic look,
or pulled down to almost make a sweater dress lookalike.
How much easier can you get for a work to night transition!
The material is soft and lightweight, not sheer, and definitely ripe for layering. At about $47, the item stays true to Romwe’s one and only aesthetic by letting you know how much of any given item is left in stock. Definitely incentive to grab something quick! And with prices ranging from $10 to $500, there’s even more incentive to find a unique, chic look for your own wardrobe! Shop www.romwe.com
PS. What would street style be without some Instagram fun?
